At a time when major record labels seem to be on the verge of meltdown, multi talented Grime artist Xploder, aka X, proves with experience and some industry savvy it can all be done very well independently issuing his latest single ‘Don’t Trust You’ through the Highly Rated Entertainment label.

Born in East London and known as the quiet and reserved individual Samuel Mensah by day, Samuel is known to transform into alter ego Xploder as soon as the music starts.

As part of the successful urban collective Highly Rated, X is now looking to “up the levels in 2010″ in his own right by taking elements from his underground roots to wider audience both musically and stylistically. X lists a various group of artists who have shaped his sound including Dizzee Rascal, Jay-Z, Michael Jackson, OutKast, Heartless Crew, Ludacris, 2pac and UB40 to name a few.

The latest single “Don’t Trust You” is that of a hungry, passionate but measured artist that won’t be denied his moment in the spotlight. Mixing his underground roots with a mainstream groove, that is sure to get you up and dancing. This club banger is the answer to X’s previous single “So True”  and yet again showcases the endless powerful punch lines X has to offer.

X earned his stripes on the underground scene alongside fellow grimesters by appearing on UK pirate radio stations Mystic, Deja Vu, Rinse, and Manic. On the strength of these impressive spots airtime plays followed on BBC 1Xtra, BBC Radio 1, Kiss 100 and Choice FM, with BBC Radio 1 presenter Ras Kwame declaring Xploder ‘defo one of THE artists to look out for in 2010′.

Xploder is re-energized, hungry and ready to make his mark. With a high work rate and many projects in the pipeline, Xploder is the artist to keep one eye on in 2010!
